Castlebrowne was the main contractor and Project Supervisor Construction Stage on this project for Uniphar Group.

The project involves extensive upgrade and extension of the existing 3,100m2 Industrial Unit to provide a new Pharmaceutical Distribution facility for Uniphar – one of the largest pharmaceutical suppliers in the world.

The upgraded building will house a new fully automated logistics system by Inther Group from Holland, that can process up to 4,500 order lines per hour.

Works include single-storey office and welfare facilities extension (320m2), internal plant rooms, internal production offices, new dock leveller and dock pit, compactor yard, ESB substation, switch room and services compound yard.

Works to existing warehouse include roof upgrade, new openings for rapid roll sectional doors, personnel doors, removal of existing glazing and cladding infills.

Extensive service installations included Sintra temperature control systems, fire suppression systems, blast and holding freezers, cold rooms and a gel pack freezer. Complete new electrical installations, including smoke detection, lightning protection, lighting installations etc.
